Jaywon Armstrong

"Coach Jay"

Founder/Director/Assistant Coach

Jaywon Armstrong, better known as "Coach Jay," was born in Providence, RI, but raised in the “Queen City”, Charlotte, NC. He is the proud father of one son, Jazziel, and has always had a passion for performing arts and children. Coach Jay served as the Head Drum Major of the West Charlotte High School Marching Band. In high school, he was also President and Step Master of a youth community service club and step team. He graduated from North Carolina Central University where he was a member of the Marching Sound Machine Marching Band, Kappa Kappa Psi National Honorary Band Fraternity, Inc., EVALESCO models, House Arrest II National Championship Dance Team, Inc., The Naughty Boyz Hip-Hop Dance Team and Eclipse Productions; a community-based contemporary dance organization. He holds over 25 years of performing arts experience including show production, instrumental and vocal music, hip-hop, contemporary, majorette, and, step genres of dance and choreography.  He enjoys bringing out the fullest potential of all young dancers through leading MADD, as well as coaching & judging majorette since 2019.  Coach Jay is also the Founder and Executive Director of Main Attraction Dance Dynasty, Inc.

Lorenzo Glenn, III

"Coach Zo"

Lorenzo Glenn, better known as "Coach Zo," was born in the Bronx, New York where his passion for dance began. At the age of 11, he started his first dance team for a school talent show and it was then he realized his love for dance. He moved to Charlotte, NC for high school and attended North Carolina Central University. Dancing became more serious for him during college where he presided over his dance team for three semesters at North Carolina Central University.  Coach Zo then moved back to Charlotte, NC at age 21 to pursue a career in choreography. Training at local dance studios and Co-founding the dance organization "Channel Se7en" on the campus of UNC Charlotte up until 2016. Since then, Coach Zo has trained with industry choreographers in some of the entertainment business’s most thriving cities for dance like New York City and Atlanta, Georgia. Coach Zo has been the hip-hop coach for The Lotus Dance Company for a year leading their hip-hop team to its first set of victories.  Coach Zo Joined the "MADD House" family in January of 2022!
